A Recent Event: Redang Island Clean-up Day (23-25 October 2009)

Berjaya Hotels & Resorts has been actively contributing to the community through its’ CSR events. It aims to gather as many people around to realize the importance of Mother Nature for future generations and practice good corporate citizenship.

Its’ eminent CSR programme - Redang Island Clean-up Day has been held annually since year 2007. The event is a marine conservation programme with the purpose of preserving and maintaining the habitat of the underworld creatures has achieved tremendous response from divers and non-divers.

Berjaya Hotels & Resorts has jointly fulfill its’ commitment with partners like PADI, Project AWARE and other sponsor partners like Scuba Symphony, Sony, Sports Toto, Starbucks and others to name.

The recently held CSR event was a success as it had brought 130 divers and non-divers to the 3-day event to fulfill the goodwill.

Participants had a great experience diving in the waters gathering the Crowns-of-Thorns, whereas non-divers had contributed in this event by collecting cigarette butts, plastic bags and other rubbish at the beach.

Berjaya Hotels & Resorts looks forward to organising the event in September 2010 in continuing its’ positive contribution to the community.
