KUALA LUMPUR, AUGUST 2016 – Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has once again joined hands with the National Blood Centre of Malaysia for the hotel’s annual blood donation drive. This activity is a part of Berjaya Times Square Hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR) for the month of August.

The 6- hour campaign received full support not only from hotel associates but from the staff and management team of Berjaya Corporation as well. Compared to last year, there is a significant increase in the total number of attendees and donors. The campaign was organized by the hotel’s Human Resources Department and aimed to raise awareness on the importance of blood donation.

Dr Alvina from Pusat Darah Negara(National Blood Centre) and her team of dedicated medical personnel arrived at the hotel at 10.00am to set up the equipments and machines and provided thorough explanations regarding blood donation as well as encouragements to the donors.

“For this month’s CSR activity, we decided to work with the National Blood Centre again because we stand by their motto which is “Donate today, donate life”. Here at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, we believe in doing our part not just for the environment but we also strongly believe in doing our part towards saving lives. We hope that this activity has successfully dispelled any myths or fear regarding blood donation and will encourage more people to participate in the future” said Mondi Mecja, General Manager of Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
