Kuala Lumpur, 29 September 2009 – Berjaya Hotels & Resorts is picking up the tech savvy trend by launching yesterday a user-friendly and consumer-oriented website – www.BerjayaHotel.com.
Simple and easy – those are BerjayaHotel.com’s mottos for the revived brand. Spread in brown and gray tones with a batik motif, BerjayaHotel.com features a simple navigation around the website, which includes a seamless booking flow and captivating visuals, that will ensure a total enhanced online experience.
A visual navigation system is created for the many visitors who simply want to browse around the site without a specific destination. This dual presentation will allow “power users” the ease and efficiency of rapidly getting to their resources, while simultaneously inviting travellers to learn more about their hotels and resorts, as they can casually browse through holiday packages, articles, images and archives.

“When visitors log on to a website they like to be enthralled by breathtaking images of their holiday spots,” said Chris Cheong, e-Business Corporate Director of Berjaya Hotels & Resorts.
“So, for our new and revamped website we decided to go for a more visual-oriented design, which upon logging on to the website, visitors will be greeted by slides of captivating images of our properties.”
“For those who have decided on which hotel or resort to go for, we have the ‘Reserve Now’ function on the homepage, which visitors can straight away do their bookings without much clicking around on the website,” he added.
“The website will also display room rates for every day of the year to make it more convenient for the visitors during bookings.”
BerjayaHotel.com also offers a 'best rate guarantee' on the website. If ever patrons stumble upon rates on other travel websites that is lower than the lowest rate shown on BerjayaHotel.com's "Best Available Rate" search (excluding packages and promotions), they will not only match that rate, but will also give patrons an additional 10% off.
The newly revived website also correlates with Berjaya Hotels & Resorts’ re-branding event. The company has given its former logo a more creative and sophisticated touch with a better design layout, and established consistent brand names to all its properties to personify and experience. The brand has also created an identity – “Have you made your reservations?” – which distinguishes itself from its competitors.
“By the end of the year, BerjayaHotel.com will also be incorporating six other languages to the website – French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean – to attract more overseas customers,” Cheong said.
In line with BerjayaHotel.com’s launch on September 28, visitors are treated to a 5-day discount for all room rates available in all properties. Rooms for properties in Malaysia and Singapore will be going off at only RM289 (approximately SGD118) per room per night, and a 28.9% discount for room rates at the properties overseas, with a minimum of a 2 nights' stay booking.
This offer is available from September 28 till October 2, 2009.
