Set against the magical archipelago of islands adorning Malaysia’s premier Marine Park in Terengganu, Redang Island is ideal for eco-lovers seeking to explore nature’s secrets on land or under the living ocean.
MARINE PARK
Just 25 minutes boat ride away from the resort, the Redang Marine Park consists of waters surrounding 9 islands, of which Redang island is the largest. These islands have fringe coral reefs superior to any in Malaysia and is ranked as one of the best in the world. The fishes around this island are so well protected that they consider human beings as friends and can be hand-fed. Snorkelling is naturally the fondest activity at the Marine Park.

DIVING SPOTS
A mere 5 minutes by boat from the resort are two historic shipwrecks – the H.M.S Prince of Wales and H.M.S. Repulse. Both were sunk here during the second World War, setting the stage for the Japanese occupation in Malaya. Amongst the over-thirty different diving spots, there are also shipwrecks near Pinang Island, black coral garden as well as the mysterious submerged chamber, both located in the vicinity of Lima Island, in addition to the Mini Mount situated between Kerengga Besar Island and Kerengga Kecil Island. All diving spots are accessible by boat from the resort and takes approximately 5 to 30 minutes to get there.

JUNGLE TREK
The fascinating hilly island of Redang paves the way for a 2 km moderately well trodden and marked path between Pasir Panjang and Teluk Dalam beach. Sights include a small stream and pools alive with catfish, the occasional encounter with the shy kancil (mouse deer), red tail squirrel and other jungle flora and fauna. For the more adventurous, there are rocky cliffs and outcrops away from this beaten path that offer breathtaking overhead views of Pasir Panjang.
