LOCATION

The tropical paradise of Tioman is located off the east coast in the state of Pahang, Malaysia, and steeped in the natural beauty of the island, Berjaya Tioman Resort marks its fine presence on the western shoreline. In addition to the miles of palm-fringed beaches, clear waters and surrounding misty mountains providing a haven from bustling city life, the island is also home to over 130 species of corals and 300 species of fishes and is also regarded as one of the finest dive destinations in Malaysia.

Take a 15 minutes boat ride from the resort to Air Batang Village, or more fondly known as ABC village, where captivating scenery of the serene beach will take your breath away.

Located right in front of this beach resort are beautiful coral gardens that fringe the coast of Tioman Island. Crystal clear to the depth of 100 feet, the water teems with a variety of corals and fish. Diving season stretches from March to November. The popular spots for scuba diving and snorkeling are along the shallow reefs at Air Batang beach, Salang beach and Monkey Bay as well as over ten beautiful nearby islands.

This marine park occupies an area of two nautical miles which includes tiny islands of Pulau Labas, Pulau Sepoi, Pulau Gut, Pulau Tokong Bahara, Pulau Chebeh, Pulau Tulai, Pulau Sembilang and Pulau Seri Buat. The water at the park is crystal clear with mesmerizing coral reefs, marine life, aquatic plants and vibrantly colored fish. Visitors are allowed to swim, snorkel and dive at the marine park but will have to adhere to the marine park conservation law.

Seven rivers that wind their way through the island's forest meet here and form this magnificent waterfall. It is said that this waterfall was the background to the song “Bali Hai” in the olden movie South Pacific. After a 40 minute hike from Kampung Mukut, a small local village, Asah Waterfall is a good place to stop and enjoy the cool water.
