Berjaya Hotel Colombo Celebrated New Year’s Eve with a Poolside Gala Dinner Dance Filled with Plenty of Cheer

COLOMBO, JANUARY 2016 – The annual New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner Dance at Berjaya Hotel Colombo is one of the most inviting events during the year end festive season for all the hotel’s in-house guests as well in Colombo and its surrounding suburbs as it is a great avenue for people of all ages to be with their families and friends whilst ending the year with a bang, filled with lots of good food and entertainment.

Commencing at 8.30 on 31st December 2015, the vibrant decorated pool side and the Royal Garden Terrace sets the mood for a night filled with joy and cheer as the guests enjoy the numerous events accompanied by spectacular live music performed by local band, Pearl and high-energy dance music spun by DJ Ashley towards the dawn of the New Year. Other fun-filled activities included a beauty pageant with the crowning of the Berjaya Queen, lucky draws and musical dancing competitions with lots of fantastic prizes and giveaways to the winners.

The Chef’s Parade added to the merriment of the occasion as they made their debut at 10.30pm, with their hands waving to the guests as they stood proudly before the sumptuous Dinner Buffet spread they specially put together for the guests’ tasting pleasure. Consisting of Sri Lankan, Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Italian food corners and many live action stations, the wide variety of food and the interactive presentation was a great experience for all the guests of various nationalities.

The fireworks at dawn was a magnificent display and marked the time for guests to stop their high heels from the floor of dancing for a short moment to see the colourful sky surrounding the hotel and wish their loved ones who were with them for a peaceful, healthy and prosperous 2016 ahead.

The Gala Dinner Dance was a tremendous success with happy faces of the guests who were leaving the hotel early morning around 3.00am after having been enjoyed the event towards another successful year!
