Berjaya Hotels & Resorts Announces Appointment of New Chief Executive Officer

Acclaimed Industry Consultant and Hotelier Hanley Chew to Lead Malaysian Hospitality Group on New Innovative Course

KUALA LUMPUR, MAY 2016 – Berjaya Hotels & Resorts (BHR), a Malaysian hospitality brand of 14 hotels & resorts across 6 countries in 11 unique destinations, has appointed Mr Hanley Chew as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company effective April 1, 2016.

Internationally reputed as an excellent hotelier and corporate leader with more than 25 years of experience within the hospitality, travel and time-share industries, Mr Hanley has held key portfolios with local and international hotel chains in Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia and China. His extensive experience in the industry, fuelled by his passion and proven achievements will further strengthen the foundation of the group and set the group on its trajectory growth path in the near future.
