Berjaya Tioman Resort Celebrates Merdeka Month By Engaging Youth To Conserve Marine Environments

As part of Berjaya Tioman Resort’s continuous efforts to preserve Tioman Island’s pristine, its Environmental Officer, Ms Noorhidayah Ahmad, has invited 20 students from Kelab Pencinta Alam of SMK Tekek to celebrate the Merdeka Month in a “nature way” in conjunction with the International Year of the Reef (#IYOR2018).

In collaboration with Reef Check Malaysia and Pahang State’s Marine Park, the objective of this event is to educate these island youths on beach clean up activity and corals conservation through corals replanting with the right method.
