A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY THROUGH RAMADHAN WITH RTM, COSWAY AND BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR
KUALA LUMPUR, MAY 2019 –. Ramadhan; it’s time of the year where one would take a minute to reflect on oneself and to give back to the community. This year, our spiritual journey takes a different path with a collaborative effort between RTM, Cosway and Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. It was a special Hari Raya moment this year as we celebrate Buka Puasa with the 100 Muaalaf, orphans/ children from Spastic children Association of Selangor n Federal Territory, Hidayah Centre Foundation and the pre-school student from Sekolah Kebangsaan Pandan Indah at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The guests of honor for the day includes YBhg. Tuan Haji Abdul Muis Shefii, Director General for Department of Broadcasting Malaysia (RTM), Mr Alan Mak, General Manager, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and, Dr Alice, CEO of Cosway who took time off from their busy schedules in attending the Raya Berjaya Celebration to lend their support towards this meaningful event.
The main highlight of this event is not just merely to give entertainment for the less fortunate, but also to contribute back to the community in general. It is truly a memorable event as this is the first time Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, RTM and Cosway work hand-in-hand for a good cause in celebrating a memorable Hari Raya.
The event started off with a heart-warming speech by the representatives from Cosway, Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and RTM followed by the distribution of Hari Raya Goodies to the invited special homes.
Guests were then treated to a sumptuous berbuka puasa spread composing of traditional Hari Raya delicacies such as Rendang Ayam, Daging, Satay and Ulam-Ulam Melayu, Udang Sambal Petai Daging Masak Hitam, Ayam Salai Masak Lemak, Stir Fried Vegetable Chinese Style Grilled Seabass with Teriyaki Sauce all deliciously prepared by award-winning Sous Chef- Malay Cuisine, Chef Yusoff bin Abdul Hamid; and his team; followed by the performance from local celebrities for Jelajah Ramadhan 2019 showcase. Just to name a few; among the celebrities are Shamel, Ernie Zakri, Sufian Suhaimi, Syafiq Farhain, Inteam, Muna Shahirah and Nationalfm personality, Odey Petra.
Apart from the distributing of Hari Raya gifts, Duit Raya and “Majlis Berbuka Puasa”, the event will also be part of the recording for "Sesuci Lebaran" radio program that will be broadcasted on NASIONALfm on the day of Hari Raya 2019 which are available via tuning to 95.3MHz & 88.5MHz in Klang Valley, ASTRO 869, Mytv 701, live stream via MyKlik and RTM Mobile applications.
