Giving Back To The Society @ Dhalia Elderly Care Center, Taman Halimahton, Old Klang Road

Kuala Lumpur, 28 February 2018 – Giving back to society has always been one of the core values for all the staffs here at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur (BTHKL). Organized by the Sales and Marketing team, BTHKL paid a visit to Dhalia Elderly Care Center located at Taman Halimahton, Old Klang Road. Representatives from each department such as Human Resources, Finance, Front Office and Engineering took part in this generous effort which is also a genuine tradition that is carried out by BTHKL every month.

Upon arrival at the home care center, the staffs were separated into five teams. Two teams were in charge of painting the exterior and interior walls of the home while another two teams were in charge of tidying the rooms and fixing curtain railings and curtains to ensure a more comfortable space and adequate amenities were provided for the elderly residents.

When the work was completed, the staffs mingled around with the elderly people. Some of them were very friendly, while most of them have been quite reserved and shy; our team manage to entice them to share their life story, work experience and achievements.

After the mingling session, BTHKL staffs gathered the elders for a toss of Yee Sang and the elders shared their joy and happiness as they felt very elated to be included in the tossing of the Yee Sang; the elders were then served lunch which was specially prepared by BTHKL. The staff members took turn serving the elders and then joined them to eat together.
