Hotel Associates And Guests Get-Together To Collectively Pledge And Show Support For The Action On Climate Change Movement

JOHOR BAHRU, MARCH 2016 – A committed supporter to the global initiative of making a green difference, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru has yet again participated in the world’s largest voluntary action for the environment, Earth Hour, by visibly reducing its carbon footprint on 19th March 2016.

At time 8.30pm local time, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel, Johor Bahru will be turning out the lights in the hotel and around the compound for 1 hour to take a stand against climate change. All non-essential public area lighting in the hotel including areas such as guestrooms corridor, food & beverage outlets, driveway and etc. were minimized or switched off during that period.

The hotel has also invited its guests to join in the Earth Hour worldwide movement by switching off the lights in their rooms. During that special hour, participating guests were invited to enjoy a Complimentary ‘Energy Saving’ mocktail and a 60-minute candlelight concert of unplugged music at Palm Bistro, the hotel’s in-house lounge.

Also to commemorate the day, the hotel prepared a Certificate of Recognition for Saving Mother Earth to all participants who have showed their support for the environmental cause.
