Gen Rosso first ever concert and workshop in Malaysia at Berjaya Penang Hotel

PENANG, 15 JULY 2018 : Berjaya Penang Hotel, The Penang Eurasian Association(PEA) and Focolare Movement teamed up for Gen Rosso international performing arts group’s concert which was held at Berjaya Penang Hotel Grand Ballroom. The event was endorsed by the Penang state government and graced by YB Jagdeep Singh Deo. Band leader, Emanuele Chirco, said this was the group’s first appearance on Malaysian soil.

The whole day workshop of Zumba/Mix/Hip Hop dance, instrument and choir was attended by 100 youths from all races and religions. It was an opportunity for the participants to perform with Gen Rosso on stage during the concert. The workshop was aimed at sharing their musical knowledge with youths. “It was beautiful to see our youth are coming and working together through music and arts. The concert tonight is an experience of ‘Everything is possible if we are united as one” said Aloysius Gasper, the president of PEA.

The organizing committee decided to do their part as loyal citizens by contributing a portion of collections from the concert and additional RM10,000.00 to Tabung Harapan Malaysia. A mock cheque was then presented at the end of the night to YB Jagdeep Singh Deo.
